Hope this video helps to inform your child about the Corona Virus, its symptoms, and what we can do to help ourselves and others prevent its spread.
Please get a parent/guardian's permission and supervision before trying. Challenge: Think outside the box on other ways you can still do the same activity with items you already have at home.
Please get a parent/guardian's permission and supervision before trying. You can use fresh Aloe Vera by removing its skin, beating/blending its meat, and straining the liquids through a cloth/mesh strainer.
So easy! No sewing required. You can use any clothing as long as you keep it a square.
I can only imagine the different types of feelings everyone is experiencing during this pandemic. It's normal to feel that way but what you do with those feelings make a difference. To help deal with stress get into a routine of what time you wake up and go to sleep, eat, learn, and do chores. Make your chores fun and when you're done, do something you enjoy. Exercise, relax, imagine, laugh, spend time with your family but most importantly, BREATHE!
Some ideas of what you can do daily to tackle boredom after you are done with your learning and chores. The calendars are themed and updated every month. I'll add more resources as I come across them. Enjoy!
It's recommended that we enjoy the outdoors even in this time of quarantine. Discuss with your child what to do when he/she encounters a stranger outdoors or at home.
Digital citizenship is empowering students with the skills to effectively and safely use online information, to understand consequences for inappropriate online conduct, and the affects to health and wellness from the use of technology. As we are quarantined, many of us will get information or entertain ourselves by engaging on-line. What better time to demonstrate our digital citizen skills.
Cyber bullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, intimidate or humiliate another. During this pandemic many are turning to social media to express how they are feeling. If you do not have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. Your words make a difference so use kindness. You don't know what the other person is going through.
With your child, name as many "Essential Workers" and discuss why their roles are important. What do they have to do to become a distributor, a nurse, a cashier, etc. As a family, chose one "Essential Worker" and create a rap/song, poem, dance or art as a message of appreciation for the work they are doing during this pandemic. Challenge: You can post your work on social media, on your yard or you can email me at esrbenavente@gdoe.net. I can wait to see what you and your family come up with.
